  1. That was awesome! Good ol’ Tofik Benedictus . . . What was the background music?

I went to one of his crusades once. I did feel the presence of God, the worship was great, and the theatrics were entertaining, but I was disappointed when I left because I still had the hemorrhoids . . . I’m sure it was my own fault for not going forward and letting him lay hands on me . . .

  2. TPT- Drowning Pool is the name…

I never did go to a crusade, but I watch him on the telly…

BTW – laying on of hands? Expose the problem? I had a Fletch 2 moment

  3. ew to your roids and ew to that man. I feel dirty now that I have watched that man jump around. OOH that song would work to! I don’t know why, when I watch things like that, my heart beats quickly and I feel sickly. Some people need a little invention I like to call ridelin (sp?) suckers. just a quick dose.

  4. Have you read his autobiography? It gives a lot of insight into his past and gives me a bit different perspective on him.

  5. georgia- i haven’t read the autobiography, though I would like to. I don’t have an anti-Hinn viewpoint at all & hope that my post didn’t reflect one… my observations of him & his ministry are that he has a unique gift which has brought a lot of scrutiny… & that he’s done some things out of naivete/speaking before thinking that have led to him being categorized as an occupier of the lunatic fringe…

  6. When I first came to know the Lord I was all about Benny Hinn. I read his book “Good Morning Holy Spirit” and I watched him all the time. I even was “slain in the spirit” a couple of times. I guess after the Toronto Blessing thing and seeing him be able to make people fall down seemingly at his will, I started seeing him in a different light. I just could not believe that he was for real anymore. It began to look more and more like a theatrical show.
